In 2025, the South Carolina Office of Disciplinary Counsel reviewed certain past advertisements published by the firm. We took those concerns seriously, cooperated fully throughout the process, and resolved the matter. It is now fully resolved.

We want to be clear about the nature of what occurred. The advertising in question was never intended to mislead anyone. Upon learning of the concerns, the firm acted promptly and responsibly to address them. We consulted independent South Carolina ethics counsel, completed additional education regarding the rules governing attorney advertising, and conducted a thorough review and revision of our advertising and website content to ensure that all of our communications are accurate and fully compliant with the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct.

This matter did not affect our ability to serve our clients in any way. Our offices remain open, our team remains in place, and our commitment to the people who turn to us in difficult moments remains unchanged.

Going forward, we have strengthened our internal review procedures to ensure that every communication we publish meets the standards of accuracy and professionalism our clients deserve. We regard this as an essential responsibility, and one we take seriously.
