Mike Hostilo Law Firm and E93 Team Up for GMAS Pep Rally Tour
This spring, the Mike Hostilo Law Firm proudly partnered with local radio station E93 and CJ the DJ to bring energy and encouragement to students across the region.
Together, we kicked off the start of standardized testing season by visiting 25 local elementary and middle schools, inspiring students to do their best on the Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) exams.
Throughout the pep rallies, students and teachers had the chance to win games and prizes while getting motivated for their upcoming tests.
Building Confidence Before the GMAS
During each pep rally, students volunteered to participate in interactive games that tested their knowledge with grade-level questions similar to what they would see on the GMAS exams.
If a student answered the question correctly, they received a prize, celebrating their hard work and academic preparation.
The purpose of the GMAS Pep Rally Tour was to build confidence among students as they approached their exams.
Creating positive experiences around testing helps students feel more prepared and reduces the anxiety that can come with standardized assessments.
The GMAS Success Formula: G-M-A-S
As part of the tour, the E93 team and our own Mr. Do Yaself a Favor, also known as Ricky Willis, shared a simple but powerful acronym to help students get ready for the big day:
  • G – Get a good night’s sleep
  • M – Make sure you eat breakfast
  • A – Always, always, always take your time
  • S – STUDY
This formula was shared with all participating schools to encourage students to prepare thoughtfully, stay focused, and perform at their best on test day.
